Top 5 Wednesday

Top 5 Wednesday: Books I Want to Read Before The End Of The Year.

It’s Wednesday and that means  Top 5 Wednesdays, as created by Gingerreadslainey and Sam. Today’s theme: Books I Want to Read Before The End Of The Year. I was going to make a list like this one very soon so I’m killing two birds with one stone and doing it now. There are so many books I hope to read before 2016 ends, but these are the ones at the top of my list.

Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo

This is most definitely a bookstagram/bookverse influenced buy. I have heard and seen so much of this book and its sequel that when I stumbled upon it in my local Waterstones (which is tiny, by the way, so I was quite surprised they had it), I had to pick it up. I hope it lives up to all the hype and is so good I want to pick up its counterpart.

The Muse by Jessie Burton

I really enjoyed The Miniaturist last year and was intrigued to see what Jessie Burton could come up with next. Plus, the cover is just gorgeous.

Monsters of Men by Patrick Ness

I need to finish this series pronto! I don’t know why I haven’t read it yet as I am on tenterhooks waiting to see what happens. I have really enjoyed this series so far – I wasn’t sure what to expect because I was in a YA series slump when I started but this is so different from the rest of the genre – so I can’t wait to read the conclusion. I hope it compliments the series and leaves me a happy reader.

The Boy Who Lost Fairyland AND The Girl Who Raced Fairyland All The Way Home by Catherynne M Valente.

Yet another series I have started this year and wish to finish before the year is out! I have spoken quite a bit about this series in other posts so I won’t bore you with why I’m loving this series (but seriously, it’s good!). The Boy Who Lost Fairyland is from a different perspective than the other books so I can’t wait to see what I think about it.

Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte

I have recently just finished Jane Eyre and this book has been sitting on my TBR shelf for years. It’s about time I delved into this famous novel to see what it’s like for myself.

Okay, those are five (six) books I’m most excited about finishing before 2016 is finished. What will you be reading in these last few months of 2016? Have you read any of the ones above – what did you think?

See you next Wednesday!
